With almost 37 years in the finance sector under his belt of which 25 were with HSBC Bank in Liverpool, Surrey and Cumbria, Grahame comes with a very experienced understanding of the needs of businesses. Upon leaving the bank at the end of 2004, Grahame created a new financial organisation which provides finance to enterprises across the county, assisting those experiencing difficulty accessing finance from mainstream sources.

Dave Clarkson

Business Development Director for Armstrong Watson

Dave is responsible for the development of an accountancy group made up of 16 offices across the North of England and Scotland which delivers both strategic and financial advice. Within his role he works directly with family businesses on how they look act and deliver their  messages to attract audiences. He is responsible for the  ‘Unlocking the Family Secret’ publication and has lectured on the innovation from within family business with Bradford Business School, Leeds Beckett University and delivered workshops across Cumbria for the Family Business Network.

Andy Beeforth has run the multi national award-winning Cumbria Community Foundation for 17 years.  During that time Andy has been involved in a number of national and local awards programmes in the charity and business sector including judging CN Business Awards and CN Countryside Awards.

Paul set up Family Business United in 2012 an online magazine and resource centre for the family business community. He launched the national Family Business of the Year Awards four years ago and has a wealth of experience supporting family businesses across the country.
